Technique

Creating abstract landscapes in oil is a fascinating journey for an artist. Here's a simplified perspective on the technique:

I start with a blank canvas and choose colors that match the feelings I want to convey. Then, I use brushes and palette knives to apply oil paint in bold strokes and textures. I let my instincts guide me, creating shapes and forms that evoke a sense of nature, even if they aren't realistic.

Texture is crucial in my work. I might layer paint thickly to add depth or use washes to create a dreamy atmosphere. Throughout the process, I step back and let the painting develop on its own.

Abstract landscapes in oil let me express my emotions and interpretations of nature. It's a fusion of imagination and reality, where I convey not just what I see but also how I feel about the landscapes that inspire me.
