Silent City

SILENT CITY

Original oil painting on canvas — 110 × 135 cm

Silent City is about feeling alone in a place where you’re never really by yourself.

I wanted to capture that strange contrast — the constant movement of a city against the silence you can carry within it. Figures, light and movement begin to dissolve into one another, creating a place that feels both crowded and distant at the same time.

For me, the painting isn’t really about loneliness. It’s about the moment solitude becomes something else — a chance to stop, look inward and hear yourself again.
